Printed pattern booklet for the knitting pattern by The Guy with the Hook named; Oceanborn cushion

The booklet has the following specifications:

- A5 size
- printed on FSC-certified paper
- 160 gram paper weight
- available in both Dutch and English
- running out! This pattern is also available digitally via The Guy with the Hook's sales channels on Ravelry and Etsy. With a digital purchase, you will find both the Dutch and English versions of the pattern in a single purchase.

This pattern is made with a specially colored set from Veluwsch Verfgoed - you will find this in the TGWTH section pack of the shop.

Yarns required: The cushion is made in a set of hand-dyed yarn from Veluwsch Verfgoed. The set consists of four colors of merino sock yarn, which is made up of 75% merino superwash and 25% nylon. You need 100 grams of color A and 50 grams of the other three colors. These quantities are sufficient for 2 sides of the cushion cover and the finishing. For a single square, use half the quantities.

I dyed this color scheme specifically for this pattern, but obviously you can use any fingerweight yarn you wish. For colors B-D, I used three colors that complement each other in terms of color from light to dark.

Color A: Veluwsch sneeuwdek (100 grams/ 400 meters needed)

Color B: Oceanborn 1 (50 grams/ 200 meters needed)

Color C: Oceanborn 2 (50 grams/ 200 meters needed)

Color D: Oceanborn 3 (50 grams/ 200 meters needed)

Crochet hook required:

In this pattern, you use a 3.0 mm crochet hook for the cushion cover.
If you only want to crochet one square for a blanket, use a 3.5 mm square for more stretch.

Size: one square for one side measures approx. 37 cm wide and high. The finished measurements change to 40 cm when you add the cushion.

Other supplies: one cushion measuring 40 x 40 cm.

Special notes:

- The pattern works in Rounds, which means you only crochet on the right side of the work.

- The square is smaller than the inner cushion to fill the cover. This is to keep the cushion airy and to fill all four corners well. The cushion looks nice if the cover is not too large.

- When making puff stitches, always ensure that you close the stitch with a chain and then make a loss when the pattern indicates that you must make a 1 ch after a puff stitch.

- Use the internet if you want to know which stitches are used in this pattern. There are many videos and tutorials available, even though they are all regular stitches.

- There are written instructions for this pattern, accompanied by diagrams. I have not added photos because the diagrams provide much more insight into the construction of this dynamic pattern, and the pattern consists of many stitches that fall close together. Additionally, a somewhat hairy fiber is used for the yarn, meaning photos do not provide a clear picture either.
