Veluwsch Verfgoed is a small business that grew out of the parent company, The Guy with the Hook.
I (Mark), better known as the Guy with the Hook, have been known for years as a designer of many crochet (and sometimes knitting) patterns. I've also written several books and magazines on this topic. My pattern work is now accepted and renowned worldwide.
At the end of 2025, the idea arose to start Veluwsch Verfgoed as an extension of my business. Partly due to personal choices, I found myself unemployed at home and found my distraction in dyeing yarns. Something I had been doing and admiring for years, but never put into practice until now.
In Veluwsch Verfgoed, I bring out the best of the region where I live. The Veluwe is a beautiful nature reserve teeming with flora and fauna, but also special stories, places, and people. I try to reflect all of this in my dyeing work.
